|

On the parts maintenance form, there is now a print-all option that will summarize all associated files for the assembly to allow the user to print and view all documents from a single modal popup form

General Improvements
|
A new version of DMS Live have been released. This version contains a number of visual and functional improvements. First, DMS is now making better use of the entire width of the screen. This allows for less cramped columns and less wrapping of words. Second, the lookup screen has a new simplified search button layout along the top and a printable report has been added. Also, the lookup form has been redeveloped to refresh faster and the column Category has been replaced with Item Type. Third, at every location where a part number is displayed, there is now an option to view that part in a new browser tab, rather than changing the content of the current open window. When opened in a new tab, the title of this tab will reflect the active part number. Fourth, the option to add associated files to the BOM Tab has been removed. Fifth, the entire routine to add new parts has been redeveloped to eliminate the occasional duplicated entry. Sixth, for the admin person - the User and Security Maintenance section has been redeveloped and an option to either email or text a forgotten password has been added. Seventh through the use of css style sheets, part numbers are now forced to remain on a single line and not wrap across multiple lines.

User Maintenance
|
The user maintenance section of DMS Live has been re-written. New screens and functionality has been added to better accommodate adding, changing and removing users. When new users are created, a random 5 digit PIN is created as a password. Passwords can be emailed or sent by SMS to the user by the admin person.

DMS Live. The new version will always be adding the most recent searched part to the top of the MRU (Most Recent Used) list unless already there. This will make for a better hisotry of searched and selected parts.

Separate Database
|
Both DMSLive and DMSClassic have now been re-coded to handle separate databases. The header of both applications will display the name of the current active database.

Brand Name
|
In preparation for future multiple databases and companies, a new “Brand Name” have been added to the top menu bar in DMS Live. It remains visible at all times, even in minimized mobile layouts for smaller and mobile devices as confirmation that you are working in the correct database.
